Charity Marketing

Charities need a phenomenal amount of marketing today if they are to get even the smallest slice of the donation pie. Getting the message out about what you do and why you should be supported is paramount. However, we all know that effective marketing, that is not going to blow the budget, takes a certain type of skill, and time that as a smaller charity you may not have. You need someone who has a vast experience across all aspects of marketing and fundraising to do it for you - releasing you to do other vital work.

Ask yourself some questions

  • Do you know why you are really needed and what makes you the best?
  • Can you put that into a punchy sentence that will be crystal clear to potential supporters, beneficiaries and members?
  • Do you make the most of your opportunities to get those oh so valuable column inches of editorial in the newspapers and trade journals?
  • Does your literature jump out and say the right things about you?
  • Is your website the best shop window you could have, or are you wasting an opportunity?

If you have read these points and recognised that you are losing vital opportunities, then you really do need help with your marketing - but help that fits in with what you need now:

  • People who understand the charity world
  • People who are only being paid for the work done
  • No investment in training - excellent existing skills
  • A excellent network of reliable contacts
  • People who can cover all aspects of marketing, including website design and upkeep, public relations, advertising, brand management, strategy and direct marketing.
  • Fast efficient and reliable service
  • No pension costs to worry about, no national insurance and no health and safety worries.

For six years I worked in a very senior position within the voluntary sector and much of the experience you see reflected here on the website has been honed within this sector. It is one of the most competitive marketing arenas there are. We are all fighting for the same pot of money and trying desperately to keep the organisation afloat, whilst delivering services that no one else will attempt.

I love the voluntary sector - the challenge to squeeze every drop out of that penny to make it do what you need. I understand the demands and pressures that are unique to this sector. If you are at breaking point, or simply wish to grow the organisation with an affordable solution, please feel free to contact me.

Click here for a quick demonstration of what I mean. I designed these for BIBIC, a national charity working with brain injured children. Both have been used in fundraising talks and various events.
